Where is the Academy located?
The registered office is located at Marathonlaan 119E, 1020 Laken. Training sessions take place at Levenslust, Scheestraat 74, 1750 Lennik (Schepdael region).
How can you register?
What is the price?
The fee varies depending on the age category and whether or not the young person participates in competitions. A licence from the Federation is also mandatory.
Are there limited places available?
Yes, to guarantee high-quality and professional guidance.
On which days and at what time are the training sessions?
Training sessions take place every Wednesday. Additional training sessions may be added at the weekend, depending on the matches.
What types of training courses are offered?
Are the training sessions individual or in groups?
The training sessions take place in groups, but each rider receives an individual training schedule.
How are the groups divided?
According to age and level, as determined by the coaches.
What equipment is mandatory?
A racing bike is mandatory. MTBs can be borrowed during the winter. The helmet and clothing provided by the Academy must be worn during every training session and competition.
Does the Academy provide materials or support?
Yes, sometimes a mechanic is present during training sessions. Sports nutrition can also be provided.
Who is responsible for maintaining the bicycle?
Each rider is responsible for their own bicycle, but staff are on hand to assist. Specific repairs are at the riders’ expense.
What are the safety rules?
It is essential to respect the traffic rules and always follow the instructions of the guides.
Does the Academy participate in competitions?
Yes, the coaches assess whether the young people are ready to participate.
How do you register for a competition?
Registrations are done individually, in consultation with a programme drawn up with the coaches.
Are there any internships or camps?
Not at the moment.
Can parents attend the training sessions?
No, parents are not allowed to ride along or follow the training sessions by car.
Is there any medical follow-up?
A social coordinator and a nutritionist are part of the staff, but there is no specific psychological follow-up.
What to do in case of injury?
Going to hospital. Insurance is included in the Cycling Flanders licence and covers all cycling trips (Academy or otherwise).
How does access to the site work?
Parents must park outside the grounds only.
Is there insurance?
Yes, this is included in the registration fee. Please note: the training sessions take place on public roads, not on a closed circuit.
